The
approach to Nar
To reach Nar from Meta you first pass
a bridge
spanning a deep and narrow gorge
and an old fortress that controlled the approach to Nar. The old bridge
is still there, but it has been replaced by a new steel structure.
Then you reach the Nar gates at the top of the hill and pass by a line
of wonderful chortens.

Turning a corner you are rewarded with great views of Nar, the
patterns of the surrounding barley and mustard fields, four old,
colourful and traditional gompas and the snow peaks looming
overhead.
