King, Mi's friend, has a
large farm/garden outside Chiang Rai where she grows all kinds of vegetables,

They are supposed to be tasty and a good source of
protein. They go down well as a snack with a cold beer |

The Shan (Burmese-style)
temple in Mae La-Na |
When you have had enough of Pai's bar and music
scene, you can find complete rest and solitude in Mae La-Na, a small Shan
village between Pai and Mae Hong Son.
Here is beautiful scenery - and caves and hill-tribe villages nearby.
You stay very well at Maelana Gardenhome, run by Ampha, a Shan woman.
